Alex + Charly | Brook Bend Horse Farm - Couple Session

Alex has been a long time family friend, and when he reached out about doing a photo session with Charly and their horses, I was really excited. I mean, did you see me freaking out on snapchat?? The location was incredible. We took pictures for four hours at Brook Bend Farm, where Charly works, and I couldn't get enough of it. Picture wide open spaces, massive fields, fences, a beautiful pond, and the most perfect sunlight streaming in. Or just look at the photos below, that works too ;) .

Mason Family Announcement | Rock Hill, SC

I had a wonderful time shooting with the Mason family in Rock Hill last week. All the spring flowers were in bloom and it was truly a perfect day.

When Heather initially reached out to me she said that she had an announcement to make for friends and family, but they wanted to include their dogs as well. I love dogs.. dogs are so great. So the week before I am preparing myself for the two dogs because dogs are just so excited to be in a new place, and with multiple sometimes it is tricky. The day I arrive, I find Delton but no Heather, he said she went to walk the dogs, so naturally I start scoping the location and coming up with my game plan. A few minutes later I see Heather and two other ladies walk up with FOUR dogs... the first words out of my mouth were "Are these ALL yours?" Silly me didn't think to check how many dogs there would be and Heather later admitted she didn't want to tell me and scare me off ;).

The dogs were amazing though, so well behaved and very sweet. It was so nice to meet the fur babies (Cooper, Molly, Marley, and Tater) and have them be a part of such a special memory.

Heather, how has your pregnancy gone so far?

Pretty good so far! No morning sickness.

Have you had any interesting cravings?

No weird cravings! Just chocolate malt milkshakes!

Delton, What were your initial thoughts when you found out you guys were going to have a baby?

Excitement and joy! Finally!!!

Heather, Why do you think Delton will be a good father?

He's waited a long time to be a father! And it's always been something that he's been excited about and looked forward to! His loving, creative, and imaginative personality will make the best father for our son.

Delton, Why do you think Heather will be a good Mother?

Because she has a big heart. She's loving and caring. I believe she was designed to be a mother. She's very selfless and puts everyone before herself. She's also an awesome aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Heather, What are you most looking forward to with the birth of your son?

Baby snuggles! Finally having a baby of my own. Seeing Delton and our baby interact for the first time.

Hannah and I went to college together and I fell in love with her personality pretty much instantly.. We've kept in touch via Facebook and Snapchat much like many people do with their old classmates, and bonded over art, nerdy things, and Harry Potter. When she told me she wanted to do a photo shoot with her husband of one year and their adorable Corgi, Beatrix, I kind of thought my head was going to pop from the excitement. Oh, did I forget to add I am obsessed with dogs?? Yeah.

The four of us had a wonderful time shooting in a patch of woods in Anderson, South Carolina after one of our rare snow falls. Hanging out with them was so much fun... they are truly a cool couple. They totally rock this miss matched plaid (insert heart eyes). And lets not forget about this amazing sunlight streaming in through the trees. #swoon
